So my laptop died yesterday. I took it to the shop to see exactly how much it would cost to fix, and it turns out my warranty ran out 3 weeks ago. Apple won’t honor it, and the damage to my system is quite severe. My battery was swelling inside the laptop, causing irreparable damage due to acid leaks and pressure burns from the internal heat. So, without much choice left in the matter and a 120 page book draft to write by the end of the semester, I need some help.
My parents have offered to help buy this laptop with me, but to be honest they are broke. They know I need this for my education, but they really can’t afford one and their budget doesn’t support payments either, so I want to get as much money as possible before I pay them and get their assistance. Unfortunately, I don’t have a job in my college town because college takes up all of my time and I am unable to get one because I am moving in about two months. Trying to balance moving with a job and writing my dissertation would be impossible with or without a computer, so I really have no-where else to turn.
I really don’t want to do this, because I know how hard off everyone else is, but if you could spare some cash my way to help me get a new computer I will be nine million times grateful. I don’t have many followers so I really don’t expect much, and by no means do I want anyone to hurt their own livelihoods for my sake, so there’s no pressure. I just figured I would put a post out there so that I could say I did everything I could to raise money to do this and help my parents with helping me.
To make things a little better for you guys, I’ll pay you back for your contributions by doing anything you ask of me. If you want help with your Japanese homework, I’ll sit with you on Skype for however long it takes to get work done. If you need a doujin translated, I’ll translate it for you. I speak Japanese, French, and English fluently and am capable of translating pretty much anything that isn’t a text-heavy novel in a few days.
Even if translating isn’t what you want, I’ll draw you a picture with my awful art skills. I’ll do anything provided it isn’t illegal and doesn’t endanger my livelihood. I’ll enter your Line Play code 90 times if I have to. I really need a laptop that bad.

SMALL EDIT: I am currently limited to shopping at Best Buy because my parents have some form of account there. The laptop in the images is not necessarily the laptop I will buy, just one that showed up when I searched high-performance. I need a laptop that will be powerful enough to handle sound and video editing while I am overseas studying. As a result, I am limited to some pretty pricey pre-builds. Sorry about that.
