I feel like I'm going to need to ask tumblr for donations again and I really

I’m serious this is some victorian era shit we have three small bags of crisps, two of which my mum’s friend bought her at work over two days, one carton of apple juice, one loaf of bread, a few potatoes and one chunk of cheddar cheese. we might have some eggs? but actually i didn’t see any in the fridge when i went to get a drink so perhaps not
and that’s got to last us nine days until my mum gets paid
and her pay won’t cover her overdraft (we don’t have any actual money right now, our debt is finally just completely on top of us we are just using overdraft, i’m at the limit of mine on both of my accounts, trying to get it extended, mum is getting charged for using her reserve)
and then we have to pay two weeks worth of rent which couldn’t be paid before
and just WAUGH
backstory is: a couple years ago my dad left without warning, ran off with my mum’s cousin, cleared out our accounts and left us with the debt that he accumulated when he refused to work anymore but insisted on spending like a rich man. now he’s living in relative luxury with my mum’s cousin who has a very good job. his leaving happened to coincide with the economy going to hell and due to petrol prices and electricity prices and everything prices and massive debt we just have not been able to get back on our feet. every time we think we have, something comes along and takes a chunk out of our bank accounts. we are trying really, really hard.
it’ll … hopefully get better after next week because mum is starting her second job, i am settling fully into mine and hopefully at some point i can talk them into giving me a full week (right now they’re only giving me one day a week which pays £70 a month, which is fucking nothing)
and if my financial support application with the university goes through that’ll help a lot but it’s going to take three weeks
mum won’t get paid for her second job for another month after she starts it
i feel gross for sharing financial information with you guys but i’m just at this state of DESPERATION???
