Disney’s Mulan Deleted Scene: Reflection
In my opinion, deleting this scene from “Reflection” was a terrible mistake. The song is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but this added part takes a somewhat disparing song and makes being different empowering and strong.

Yeah, Lea Salonga was heartbroken that they cut the song. I can understand why. This part is inspirational.
Mulan is my favorite Disney movie, but I too disagree with the removal of this part of the song. Reflection is kind of a short heroine ballad anyway, so it’s not as if they didn’t have time for it. And Mulan deserves a sweeping “I want” song just as much as any other Disney lead. :)
