So there’s this gloomy dork who has the biggest boner in the universe for these two twins, right. Except then his dad dies and he goes totally bonkers, deciding it would be totally cool to make himself a Zombie Dad (TM) and try to capture the magical boner twins.

Meanwhile the twins flee their country and do all sorts of stuff that actually doesn’t matter much, except possibly for the male twin’s denial of everything and then some (especially if it concerns being into Gloomy Dork Boy). They eventually off Zombie Dad and then party their way down to the land of sketchy zombie dragons, where they off Gloomy Dork Boy and male-twin angsts forever.

it’s been a while since I’ve played this game again. and I never thought I’d find people on tumblr who enjoyed this game as much as I did.

30 Days of FE: Day 9 - Least Favorite Level

Any level where I have to get a guide or flail around for ages to get all the cool stuff is a level I will not like. However, this one takes the cake for a few reasons.

One, your playables are scattered all around the place. (It’s worse on Eirika’s route, where instead of having Eirika and two kickass prepromotes on their own, you’ve got crazy underleveled Ephraim, an impossibly squishy shaman, and a subpar horse guy. I’m sorry, I love Knoll and Duessel, but that is a terrible combination.)

Two, it ticks me off that they throw all that plot at you at once, instead of spacing it out and fleshing out the game more. Both Caellach and Valter are figures who plague you the entire game - and you waste them both on one map? Come on, they deserved better than that.

And three, desert levels are pretty much universally my least favorite kinds in FE, just because of the limited movement. Sure, by this point you have a lot of magic units who don’t really get hit with it, but ha, good luck pitting Gloomy McMagicpants and co. up against Valter.

I hate this map. Hate it. Haaaaaate it. More than I hate the bridge chapters in the Tellius games - and man, do I ever hate those.

Knoll’s squishyness was a really annoying dilemma… and the fact that Duessel can’t double hit… FUUUUUU
